Criminal Records Disclosure Service
Should your organisation work with vulnerable adults or children, it may be necessary for your staff or volunteers to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure (CRB) Check . The aim of CRB checks is to assist organisations, from all sectors, enhance their safer recruitment practices. The CRB check will highlight known offenders who may be unsuitable for regulated areas of work, especially those roles involving contact with children and vulnerable adults. It should be noted that having a conviction or a record of some type of unacceptable behaviour would not necessarily bar a candidate from becoming employment in a regulated position, as any decision to employ should be considered on the individual circumstances of each case.
