Safeguarding Children & Young People with Disabilities

Children and young people with disabilities have a right of access to all services. Therefore any worker may come into contact with children and young people with disabilities, or their parents/carers at any time. This multi-disciplinary conference is aimed at all staff working with children or adults, not just those working in specialist services. 

The  our keynote speaker will be Chris Osborne.  With 25 years experience of working in the disabled children’s sector including nine years as The Children’s Society’s Regional Director for Yorkshire & Humberside Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.   Chris is also the co-author of “Safeguarding Disabled Children Practice Guidance” published in 2009.
