New Chief Executive

Knowsley CVS is entering a new era in its role as infrastructure support organisation for the voluntary, community and faith (VCF) sector in Knowsley. The appointment of a new Chief Executive, Linda Richings, and the recent restructuring of the Board under a new Chair, Chris O'Hare, has paved the way for KCVS to meet some of the exciting challenges which lay ahead for the VCF sector.

In adopting its new approach Knowsley CVS will be keen to listen to the views of local groups and organisations and build a strong relationship with the sector to identify what is needed and then deliver a range of support services which meet those needs. KCVS will also be proactively working with partners in the borough to help establish and develop a thriving environment for VCF groups in Knowsley.

As part of this process Knowsley CVS will be undertaking an extensive consultation programme early in the New Year to establish and understand what the sector's needs are and how they can be met. The Chair of KCVS, Chris O'Hare, said, "Knowsley CVS is in a unique position to help build and strengthen the capacity of VCF groups in Knowsley and we are keen to listen and find out exactly what the sector's needs are."

Chief Executive, Linda Richings said, "This is an exciting time, the national agenda is very much directed towards working with the voluntary, community and faith sector. We have a good partnership with Knowsley Borough Council and strong support from them to help us take on this agenda and deliver quality services in Knowsley."
