Summer Reading Challenge for everyone at Knowsley Libraries
Kids take one giant leap into libraries!
Space Hop: the 12th Summer Reading Challenge launches
We have lift off! Libraries across Knowsley are getting ready to launch children into orbit for an intergalactical adventure that will keep them reading throughout the school summer holidays....with the 2010 Summer Reading Challenge.
And it’s all free fun, which is out-of-this-world news for parents! The Summer Reading Challenge is just one of many exciting schemes public libraries are developing to help children love reading. So mums, dads and carers, pop down to your local library and find out more!
Each year the Summer Reading Challenge for until children is simple. They’re encouraged to read six or more books of their choice during the holidays with collectable incentives and rewards, plus a certificate or medal for every child who completes the Challenge.
Children can sign up at their local library from 17th July and all materials are absolutely free.
Young people can join in the Challenge as well and have the opportunity to win HMV vouchers if they complete the Challenge
Babies and toddlers can also take part by joining the Bookcrawl.
Tell us your favourite book and win a goody box of books!
Adults take our Summer Reading Challenge! This year we’re looking for Knowsley’s favourite book. Enter as many times as you like, by filling in one of our voting postcards, and you will be automatically entered into a draw for a Goody Box of Books.
Are you looking for a good read for your holiday? We have all the latest bestsellers and you could also try one of our reader’s recommendations.
The Challenges run until 12th September.
