A new style of volunteering project for 16-25 year olds in Knowsley, is opening doors for young people.
vTalent is a new two-year pilot project which aims to give young people skills and experience, whilst harnessing the unique contribution that they themselves can make to services, for young people and children in Knowsley.
Knowsley Council is one of 33 local authorities in the country to have gained funding for the project from ‘V', the national volunteering organisation.
Vinvolved youth volunteering project, hosted by Knowsley CVS, staged Casino Vol, a Bond-themed celebration event, to congratulate local young people for their voluntary work in the area.
The evening included live music and dance from Danny Morris and the AJ Dancer productions, a fun casino, and entertainment provided by young volunteer DJs from local student radio KCC Live!
Knowsley CVS has been awarded nearly £500,000 over three years by the Big Lottery Fund to enable it to provide a comprehensive package of support services to the voluntary, community and faith sector in Knowsley. KCVS will be working closely with Knowsley Council and the Greater Merseyside ChangeUp Consortium to deliver the project.
