Organisations
Knowsley CVS Volunteer Centre supports volunteer involving organisations based in Knowsley and Greater Merseyside recruit, manage and retain volunteers. Knowsley CVS Volunteer Centre helps organisations develop volunteering opportunities and offers best practice advice on all aspects of working with volunteers. These services are mainly available only to registered organisations.
If you are a voluntary organisation you can register your organisation to offer voluntary opportunities by downloading the Organisation and New Opportunity Registration Form. The form is broken down into 2 sections. Section A is the information on the orgainsation and section B is for you to inform us of the volunteer role you would like to recruit for.
You can either; complete the form electronically and email back to volunteercentre@knowsleycvs.org or you can print it out and post it to; Knowsley CVS Volunteer Centre, Nutgrove Villa, 1 Griffiths Road, Huyton, Knowsley, Merseyside L36 6NA. You can also fax it to; 0151 443 0251.
Please note if you have more than 1 voluntary role you wish us to promote please compete section B each opportunity role. This can also be used to update any changes to existing opportunities.
What we offer to support Volunteer Involving Organisations
- 1-2-1 Advice sessions
If you want to improve the way you manage and recruit your volunteers, we can offer 1-to-1 support, over the phone, in person or via email. This service is available only to registered organisations.
- Campaigning on volunteering issues
We coordinate campaigns at local level on behalf of Volunteer Involving Organisations on issues affecting volunteering and volunteers. We seek to represent the volunteering sector’s views and needs to the statutory sector.
- Organisational Registration Site Visit
When you register with us, we ask you to submit your policies. We check them and suggest changes. One of our advisors will come and visit your organisation. This will ensure that all your policies and procedures are of the highest standard, in line with best practice. This service is available only to registered organisations.
- Promoting your volunteer opportunities
We offer a confidential appointment service for people interested in volunteering to gain information and advice about your volunteering opportunities via our internal database. We also publicise your opportunities through the national volunteering website www.do-it.org.uk. This service is available only to registered organisations.
- Volunteer Managers Forum
We are delivering a forum network to discuss best practice when working with volunteers. It is an opportunity for organisation volunteer managers and coordinators do consult, share ideas & resources, identify new opportunities, create new strategies and initiatives for Knowsley CVS Volunteer Centre to support and advise on.
- Networking events for Volunteer Involving Orgaisations
We organise events for organisations, providing them with an opportunity to network and exchange views with other organisations. Our events offer people from registered organisations the opportunity to meet, share problems and offer solutions.
- Online resources
We collect and publish online resources on many aspects of working with volunteers. We are developing this website to host training resources, model policies, -to-date research data and stats on volunteering in Knowsley and the UK
- E-bulletin and Newsletter
We create and circulate a by weekly e-bulletin and monthly Newsletter with information about training, funding, policy changes and events concerning the volunteering sector in Knowsley.
